WELCOME TO SOUTHSIDE PARTNERSHIP DLR
The Southside Partnership is an independent local development organisation serving Dun Laoghaire Rathdown. Established in 1996, our brief is to tackle socio-economic disadvantage and social exclusion within all sectors of our community.

We are one of 53 local area Partnership companies in Ireland, each of which works within communities and with groups who are experiencing particularly high levels of disadvantage and exclusion.

Our role is to provide assistance, advice and support to enable disadvantaged groups to play a fuller and more active role in modern Irish society. In the process, we address the complex issues of poverty, social inclusion and unemployment.

Since our establishment, we have spearheaded many new initiatives aimed at improving people’s lives. We have been active in communities throughout the Southside area, from Shankill to Sallynoggin, from Ballyogan to Nutgrove, and have worked with groups such as Travellers, early school leavers, people with disabilities and refugees.

Our success to date is the result of unstinting hard work on the part of our Board members, our staff and our partners including the countless local activists, community groups and governmental organisations that have joined with us to address problems of poverty, social exclusion and inequality in the southside area.

The following pages give a more detailed outline of our work and the services we provide in the area of local development. We welcome any suggestions as to how the site can work harder for you and how we can be of even greater service to all the Southside's communities.
