DRUG AND ALCOHOL TASK FORCE CONSULTATION

The Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Drug And Alcohol Task Force is organising a consultation with local people in the Mounttown Community Facility, during the last week of May 2016, on the following dates: Monday, May 30th: 10am - 1pm & Tuesday, May 31st: 10am - 5pm  

 

Whether on your own, or in groups of 2-5 persons, the Task Force Coordinator will be available to speak to you and to: 1. Explain the work of the Task Force, and what it does? 2. Hear your views about drug and alcohol issues in your area, and 3. Outline how you can get involved further with these issues.

The main aims of the DLR-DATF are: To compile information on alcohol and drug problems and to maintain an up-to-date picture of trends To identify gaps in the State’s response to drug and alcohol issues To develop proposals and recommendations for dealing with these problems with due regard to: Supply Prevention Treatment and rehabilitation Research To support community bodies in their role and to maintain a cross-sectoral, inter-agency response  To develop and update a local strategic plan and make decisions about future priorities, and To monitor implementation of actions taken.
