Collaboration and Representation

This strategy is about strengthening community organisations' role and voice in local development and planning. The focus of the strategy is on three distinct but inter-related approaches: (a) supporting the regional networking of community groups through the Community Platform , (b) strengthening local and community development groups through the Integrated Local and Community Development Group (ILCD), and (c) exploring and developing new participatory approaches to strategic planning through the SPAN Project (Strategic Planning Action Network). The partnership is also an active partner in many county-wide initiatives such as the Dún Laoghaire Rathdown Volunteer Centre.
