DIG (Disability interest Group) is a community based group addressing issues which may affect people with disabilities in Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County. DIG is supported by Southside Partnership who provides technical assistance and funding through a support worker.
Their aim is to provide a forum for people with disabilities, agencies, organizations and others to come together and address the rights of people with disabilities in the County.
DIG holds a community seat on the Board of Southside Partnership and is a member of the Community Platform.
The Chairperson of DIG represents people with disabilities on the DCG (Disability Consultation Group) which is an inter-agency group that advises the Council on matters of access.
As well as tackling local issues, DIG keeps abreast of the National agenda and regularly submits recommendations on key policy matters.
