Enterprise & Self-Employment Supports

This strategy has been prioritised due to the relative absence of support and advice for target clients of the Southside Partnership who wish to set up in business by themselves or to establish small enterprises. Unlike other parts of Ireland there is no local enterprise agency in the Southside Partnership area specifically targeting our core client groups, unemployed, lone parents etc.

• The partnership provides support, advice, guidance and training to people from target communities and target groups who are interested in setting up their own business; and provides post start-up support and networking opportunities for people who have already set up small scale enterprises. In an effort to further develop links between local business and the local community Southside Partnership is also committed to the development of an active and dynamic Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Programme engaging enterprises of all sizes from sole traders to larger multinationals.
