Services to the Unemployed Programme’ offers two distinct support strands:

Aims
The aim of the Services to the Unemployed Programme is to increase and improve employment opportunities for unemployed people within key target groups and communities.
This is achieved through the provision of a combination of direct supports and advice to unemployed people; by identifying and progressing new employment and economic development opportunities and by addressing barriers and obstacles which impede the employment prospects of people from target communities and target groups.
Actions
- We support local networks and groups to encourage information sharing and collaboration
- We encourage the development of the Third Sector (Community Service Projects, Social Economy Projects, and Community Businesses)
- We provide supports to encourage Labour Market Participation.
- We providing Enterprise and Self Employment Supports and encourage connections between business and the local community, CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility)
